Detoxification – More Than a Physical Experience

When detoxification begins to take place physically - you will most likely experience it! Headaches, fever, aches, indigestion, congestion, skin rashes, dizziness, just to name a few! During a fast of any kind your body will kick in and begin “to remove poisons from within”. Depending on the type of fast you are doing will depend on the level of detoxification you experience.

But more than just a physical experience you will also begin to detoxify emotionally. As you go deeper into a fast you may also begin to experience depression, anxiety and even mood changes.

I don’t know about you but some of us are experiencing these emotional symptoms even without being on a fast!

Whether you are fasting or not – these emotions are all symptoms of the heart. Your “emotions do have a voice” but will you take the time to listen?

We are in a season where fears of all kinds are closing in on us. Fear of rejection, loss of a job, losing our homes or even a loved one.

During this season can you identify the symptoms arising from your heart?

Take a few moments right now and allow God to show you what is poisoning your heart. Allow Him to displace fear, torment and pain with His comfort, peace and a security! I John 4:18… it is His Perfect Love (His mature Love), that drives out all fears (torment and pain).

What level of emotional healing would you like to walk in?

That is the level of freedom you will impart to others.

Encounter Love – body, soul & spirit!

“Freedom Quest International” is more than just a non-profit ministry that travels to the nations. FQI was birthed out of the discovery of our own emotional brokenness and how it was affecting every area of our lives – body, soul & spirit. We realize (now more than ever!) unless properly processed, our childhood perceptions and trauma very much carry over into our adult life. Pain from our past will always seek comfort. Our bodies become at dis-ease and our minds are like a video playing the past pain over and over. Our emotions then become distorted and spiritually speaking God seems so far away.

It is time for an encounter… an Encounter with Love - God’s love.

As Bob and I learn to walk in a greater level of freedom we are able to impart that freedom to others!

Fasting Day 17 – “Is Your Heart Circumcised?”

In my last post, “Words…What Do Yours Communicate?” God was dealing with my MOUTH and is not done today on Day 17! The only difference is He is just going a bit deeper and dealing with my heart – the place my words come from!

“Kelly Parr… It’s time for a circumcision – circumcision of your heart!”

Yes… circumcision is a painful experience, but the amount of pain suffered correlates to the age of the one being cut! Now spiritually speaking, I have been a Christian for 35 years - thus I am NOT a baby Christian anymore! OUCH!

On Day 8 of this fast the Holy Spirit reminded me of two scriptures…

Genesis 17:12 where God said to Abraham, “… every male among you shall be circumcised when he is eight days old…” (NRSV)

Joshua 5:2 “… Make flint knives and circumcise the Israelites a second time.”

The safest day in a males entire life to be circumcised is day 8 when vitamin K’s ability to clot is the highest and as for the flint knife… when sharpened it sterilizes itself!

God’s people in those days were not always circumcised in this manner… at times they followed they ways of the world. Oh how I can relate to this principle spiritually.

“Kelly Parr… It’s time for a circumcision – circumcision of your heart!”

Paul said to the Colossians in 2:11
“…not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ…”

3 v8: “…rid myself of : anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.”

“God makes changes in my heart but I must crucify my habits”.

If I am going to prophetically speak into people’s lives… then I better be doing the same within my own home first. Speaking words that build up not tear down.
