Fasting Tip – Be Kind to Your Kids!
Fasting tip to be kind to your kids was a huge lesson I learned on this fast today. Of course… as a mom I am always kind to my kids!
But, today I am thinking of two other kids to be kind to – my “kid”-neys!
Not only am I giving them a rest during this fast, but I decided to create a healthy cleansing drink that I know they will like!
Cool-aid for the kids!
1 grapefruit / peeled
1/4 Bragg’s apple cider vinegar
4 cups water
Using a high-powered blender, blend the grapefruit, apple cider vinegar and water.
Adjust taste if needed.
Your Body Knows How to Heal Itself.
When you are on a fast, you begin to recognize the healing process that takes place not just spiritually, mentally and emotionally, but physically as well. The last few days, I have had a bit of cramping in my kidney area. Amazing how our bodies know how to heal, when we know how to listen. That is what I love about fasting. I am beginning to understand how fasting gives our bodies opportunity to eliminate toxins and heal. More about the other four avenues of elimination >>> here!
Did you know your Kidneys produce more than just urine?
Here is another amazing fasting tip I discovered. I learned that my kidney’s produce more than just urine. Everyday these two bean-shaped organs called kidneys, in the middle of your back, just below your ribcage, sift through about 2 quarts of blood. They are removing wastes products and excess fluid. But that’s not all!
These two little power-houses also…
- stimulate red blood cell production
- regulate blood pressure
- balance the bodies fluids
- balance chemicals in your body
- releases hormones
- produces vitamin D helping promote strong healthy bones
- controls calcium levels
So whether you are fasting or not, be kind to your “kids” and make them a Cool-Aid they will enjoy!
