Making the creamiest fruit smoothie can be narrowed down to 4 easy steps! Right choice of equipment,  type of nuts, choice of fruit, and last but not least frozen bananas!

1. Begin with the right equipment.

This definitely makes all the difference in smoothie making! I have used many types of blenders, and sad to say, burned up many in my smoothie lifetime! I discovered over the years, that nothing blends my smoothies creamier, is more durable and lasts longer than my Blendtec Total Blender with of course, my new WildSide Blender Jar! My original 4 sided jar works fantastic, that is until I discovered the WildSide Blender Jar! For the last two weeks, I have been trying out and comparing my original 4 sided 32 oz jar with the 3” blade with my new 5 sided WildSide 36 oz jar with a 4” blade. All I can say is WOW! There is no comparison. I had no idea what I was missing out on! This fifth sided jar makes for a bigger, smoother, thicker and faster blending and we all know what that means?!

Now for the next step…

2. Choose your nut!

Almonds are my husband’s favorite but for me it’s the cashew. If you want silky smooth – best to use the best of both worlds – almonds & cashew! This is the key ingredient that will turn your smoothie from being too grainy to being the creamiest fruit smoothie of all! Blend 1/4 cup almonds & 1/4 cup cashews to a super fine powder and then add approximately 1 ½ cups water and blend again. Voila! You now have your nut milk!

3. Choose your fruit!

Whether you choose strawberries, mixed berries, blueberries, cherries, peaches or mango, you can’t go wrong. Just add a cupful and blend away! (Better if they are frozen as this adds to the creaminess.)

4. Add frozen bananas!

I always have a zip lock bag of peeled, chopped bananas on hand. Hard to have a creamy smoothie without frozen bananas! You choose how thick you want your smoothie and add bananas accordingly. The more you add the thicker your smoothie. Frozen banana pieces are a must if you want to create the creamiest fruit smoothie of all!

Enjoy your creamy smoothie & share this post with a friend (or two)!
