MISO HAPPY!
What a way to start back to blogging…Ahhh… my precious daughter Johnna just now brought me a cup of warm homemade veggie broth with a tad bit of miso mixed in! The warm cup feels so good on my hands and the wholesome taste of broth really tingles as it goes down. I want to savor this moment – this “miso happy” one.
The broth is so easy to make….
* chop up veggies such as, carrots, zucchini, cabbage, tomatoes, onion, mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli stems, kale, parsley or even collard greens into a big pot of water. Throw in a few basil leaves too!
* Bring it to a boil and then turn it down to a simmer for about 1 – 2 hours.
* Strain the broth and there you have it!
Then this is where “Miso happy” comes in…
Scoop about a ½ tsp of Miso with a stirring spoon
Dip the “miso spoon” into a hot mug of broth
Stir real slow…..
ENJOY!
MISO HAPPY…. BUT MUST CONFESS
The last we talked was on Day 11 of this “Body & Soul” cleanse. That was 20 days ago – and I said I would only be gone about 5 or so! Well I must confess… this cleanse has been really hard and to think of posting something just urked me! I read about others who are cleansing and it seems they do it with such ease. Not me. Not this time around.
I was doing fine (?) until my husband Bob finished with his fast on day 21 and our daughter Johnna is doing a 1 week raw, 2 weeks juice and now is back on raw the 4th week. So the kitchen is up and running once again… ugh! I’ve been grouchy, noises really bother me like the sound of family crunching on food! Oh and the smell of food… I want to rip their heads off!
Now does that sound like a Godly woman who is seeking after Gods heart?
Finally today I just had to lock myself up in my room … focus, pray, listen to soaking music and now be honest with you. Someone out there please tell me they have felt the same way! Or does everyone just feel great, light and full of energy when they do a cleanse?
Now back to sipping on my “miso happy” broth.
Thanks for listening… and looking forward to your response!

dear Kelly!
how nice that you just show up again when i am re-beginning my one as you know already!
But today that i came to look yours – I was already not feeling well and also vomit on the morning, so wird!!!
All the nights this time i have lots of thoughts coming and going, everything different and today this that was like throughing out some “garbage” ! Never happen before!
I went to buy some wheatgrass as i do every Monday and Friday with the same guy – a very interesting person and also knowledge – talking about what happen this morning, he told me that on a fast – every time we do, our soul are in different levels, we feel different and we experience different feelings and everytime we are going deeper on our detoxification !
It was interesting to me to share with you after just in this second read your blog and see that you are experiencing different notes too!
Always is good to know that we have Someone that is taking care of us and we only have to take it easy and rest or do nothing – only live the moment!
We are going this Friday to a retreat at Costa Rica with Viktoras Kulvinskas, so this time my fast will be till arrive there and for sure there we are gonna have the best food ever, it is a retreat at his house and we are gonna prepare our food with him, only 8 persons so i will enjoy this time spending with him! My husband is so enthusiasm about!
Thanks for your love! Write always when you feel like to – i will prepare something like your miso soup tomorrow for us!!!!
Love and blessings!!!
Marcia,
you are sooooooo bubbly and fun to read about! Thanks for sharing and so neat how God is placing people in your life all along your journey to health and wholeness!
Your wheat grass guy is so right on… each fast builds upon the last one and each time your body does differently.
Sorry bout the sickness but that too shall pass!
bless you and thanks for keeping me posted!
Kelly, I get grumpy too – after missing one meal! I am so impressed that you do this.
And I’m glad you will be eating again by the time you come to Hickory. We don’t need no grumpy Kelly in these parts! ; )
Looking forward to your coming. I’ll pray for you as you cleanse and prepare.
