Time to re-build
December 26th 2004, marked a dreadful day for Indonesia – an earthquake followed by a Tsunami devastated the land and her people – as far as the eye could see. Bob and I were given the opportunity to go and help… but where to begin? We arrived overwhelmed and left overwhelmed.
Unfinished Business in the House
Today God has reminded me of that tragic day - but from a spiritual perspective. The condition of this land reflects the condition of one’s soul. Devastated, barren and it’s now a time to re-build.
As God spoke through the prophet Haggai..
- The Lord is stirring
- Now is the Time – time to build.
- Be strong - I am with you says the Lord
During this “Body & Soul Cleanse” I am feeling the desire to set some time aside from blogging and will be taking at least the next five days or so to ponder on the words from Haggai.
What kind of foundation do I want to build upon?
There is “unfinished business in this house ” – the house of my soul.
My prayer for each of us is… Come Lord Jesus and invade our souls… invade our minds, our wills and our emotions so that we might once again rebuild.

Now don’t get onto me for being on the computer while I’m in Maui! I had to comment on this post. I can’t believe God’s timing! (well, actually I can). Ever since we talked about emotional detox I’ve been pondering all of my past cleansings and fastings. While on the airplane to Maui, I sensed the Holy Spirit speaking to me about another cleanse, this time totally focused on “rebuilding my heart”. A time to rebuild…those words are like a cool glass of water as I think about setting aside a time to allow the Lord to rebuild my heart and do some serious emotional detox in my life. This morning as I was sitting on this beautiful balcony listening to the waves crashing up on the rocks, I sensed the nudge to read your blog. I love it when the Lord confirms…music to my soul!
