Body & Soul cleanse – Day 8 “The Speed of Detoxification”

16 Jan

Course of action
One thing I have learned in my previous cleansing is that I can control how quick or how slow I choose to detoxify. Here’s a simple “six step” course of action that can help you along your journey of a “Body & Soul Cleanse”!  Most likely you are on the right side of the diagram in your every day eating – cooked, steamed or raw.
As you enter into a cleanse, you want to ease your way across the diagram to a diet of blended, juiced or water. The further you move to the right of the diagram the deeper the cleanse!

As for me and my house
Yup… you guessed it – our whole household is now on a “Body & Soul Cleanse”! We have a big pot of veggie broth simmering, coconuts crackin, hot-pot boiling  for teas, blenders swirlin, juicers grindin and now today… the food processor creatin!
Here’s a really tasty recipe for detoxifying at a nice “slow” pace. Try my Daughter’s “blended” concoction she created this morning! :)

1 avocado + 2 apples + 1 lime + food processor + spoon + glass = mmm goodness!  :)

Bless you as you continue your journey of “Body & Soul Cleanse”!

    Hello,
I read your post on the 6 steps to get ready for a fast, great thinking, it makes sense. (: My Q. is: How do you open a coconut? I tried it before, well, my husband did & I can’t remember if we opened it, but if we did, it took a really long x. And how do you eat it once it’s open.

    Thanks,
    Karen (:

Karen… happy the fasting post helped! Check out my post here for crackin “young” coconuts! We buy them by the case at the Asian market… less expensive that way. At times like this I wished we still lived in Asia where we could buy fresh coconut all the time at the morning market!

That’s a great illustration. I cannot fully commit to a fasting yet. May God help me on that. I’m sure he will at the right time. But I’m starting to do some green smoothies tomorrow for breakfast instead of eating bread or something cooked. It’s a start, right?

Your idea is a GREAT idea… and yes it is a start! One bite at a time… one day at a time! So proud of YOU!
