1. TIME… in itself does not heal but taking the time does.
When we set time aside to posture ourselves for healing - God shows up! We all process differently so the timing for our healing is crucial. Whether that be time set aside for journaling, praying, listening to worship music, sitting in silence or even opening up with a friend, counselor, or your church leader that can pray with you. Bottom line, take the time!
2. TRUTH… living in denial does not promote healing but coming out of denial does.
I had a very good friend that would always say “don’t add to it, don’t take away from it, just get understanding.”
When the Holy Spirit shows us what is not truth in our lives, confessing it set’s us free – no longer to be a slave to a lie! Jesus has the power to set us free… really free (John 8:36)!
So let’s walk it, live it and experience it today!
3. TRUST… begin by being one who can be trusted.
Our physical bodies trust each member of the body to function as one; do we as a church body do the same (Romans 12: 1-8)? Do we build hope with one another or tear down with words of envy and jealousy? Do we have more than one friend that we can rely on, cry with, or even reveal to them our deepest darkest secret (James 5:16)?
Take the first step and become that one… who can be trusted.
Time, Truth & Trust - May they be cultivated in our lives so that we might experience real freedom!
